WATOSHA [ONE-STORY HOUSE]
One of the best parts of strolling in Yanesen is enjoying the back alleys. Watosha is a small one-story shop tucked away at the end of a narrow street that is perfect for a stroll in this town.
This small shop is filled with works by various artists, including pottery, fabric, and paper.
One of the main reasons for Watosha's popularity is its limited-time exhibitions. This summer, the store plans to host exciting exhibitions on a monthly basis.
In June there will be tenugui towels exhibition, in July there will be two exhibitions of pottery and cat-themed artwork, and in August there will be the annual "Sanae Higuchi and Takeshi Yoshida Two Artists Exhibition" of popular Mashiko pottery artists. (Please check SNS for schedule details.)
The number of Watosha's original ware, which is gradually increasing, has a unique view of the world. The owner says, "I look forward to hearing what the visitors felt through the works here".
